    Technical Issues

Please note that we are currently experiencing issues with our live streaming.

We are working to fix this and it will be up and running as soon as possible.

    Apologies for any inconvenience.

Like most community not-for-profit organisations struggling in the COVID-19 environment, our 99.9 Voice FM needs community financial support to survive.

Following the relocation of our studios to Barkly Square, the Board of Voice FM developed a plan to create financial stability for the station.

That plan includes a sponsorship (advertising) drive and a revamped programming structure that would see the introduction of over 20 new programs relevant to our broad listening audience. We also have a plan to create a three-year capital expenditure replacement program and are also planning for the introduction of digital broadcasting for community radio stations.

That all went on hold in early March due to the COVID -19 restrictions that resulted in the station becoming fully automated. That was seven months ago. We are now slowly returning to normal programming with limitations.

Unfortunately during this time, we have been unable to attract sponsorship, which is the lifeblood of community radio broadcasters such as Voice FM. We have done everything we can to attract sponsorship during the pandemic, but it has been to no avail.

The Board of Voice FM has decided to publicly announce the station’s financial position. We have given ourselves until 30 November to raise the necessary funds to trade out of our financial situation.

Whilst we understand that in accordance with Section 11 of the Community Radio Broadcasting Codes of Practice, Voice FM, like all community broadcasters, cannot operate to make a profit, but there is a fine line between profit and loss. Our aim through all our planning has been to create a foundation where any surplus funds will be used for necessary capital expenditure and the introduction of digital broadcasting.

The Board has done everything possible to overcome these difficult circumstances with little success, so we are going to explain our predicament to the public at large and seek their urgent support. Should you be able to support us at this time, please email us atChairman@voicefm.org.au

As you know, 99.9 Voice FM is by, for, and about our community. It is my , your, our 99.9 Voice FM.
